    Description

    Position: Quality Engineer

    Location: Austin, TX (on-site)

    Job Overview

    Our client is seeking a Quality Engineer to ensure the reliability, safety, and performance of our autonomous surface vessels designed for the DoD.

    Responsibilities

    • Oversee the development, implementation, and management of quality control processes across ASV design, manufacturing, and testing.
    • Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and DoD requirements through meticulous documentation and certification.
    • Foster collaboration with suppliers to maintain the quality and reliability of ASV components and materials.
    • Continuously seek opportunities for process enhancement, employing root cause analysis and corrective measures to bolster product quality and efficacy.
    • Establish and supervise stringent quality testing protocols to validate ASV performance and reliability.
    • Drive cross-functional collaboration with design, engineering, manufacturing, and other teams to address quality concerns and propel product enhancement initiatives.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field
    • Experience in quality engineering, quality control, or quality assurance in a relevant industry
    • Strong knowledge of quality standards, regulations, and compliance requirements
    • Experience with autonomous systems, maritime technology, or defense applications is a plus
    • Familiarity with tools and methodologies for quality improvement, such as Six Sigma or Lean
