The company has more than 60 locations through which it distributes products, equipment and chemicals, and provides customers with other value-added services including equipment repair, equipment rental and education.

    The Marketing Events Coordinator will be responsible for the following...

    Registration – Including all pre- event communications.
    Event Staffing – Coordinate staff to ensure guests are supervised at every stage of the event.
    Food and Beverage Planning – Including hotel orders for on-site meals, and catering companies/ restaurants for off-site meals.
    Supplier Liaison – Liaising with suppliers for off-site activities, entertainment, and excursions.
    Administrative – Perform all essential administrative duties including running daily and weekly reports, keeping records up-to-date, etc.
    Point Person – Serve as a point of contact during the duration of the event.
    Hotel Management – Including room lists, check-in/ hospitality information, arrival times.
    Venue Management – Including main hotel event spaces/ banquet rooms, off-site venues, restaurants, etc.
    Shipping for event supplies and other miscellaneous items.
    Works directly with Corporate Marketing Team on events.
    Creates and manages event registration sites in Cvent.
    Other duties as assigned by management.

    Primary Duties and Responsibilities

    • Minimum of 2 years of Event Planning experience
    • Good communication skills
    • Requires developed skills through formal training or considerable work experience
    • Works within established procedures with a moderate degree of supervision
    • Requires established skills to perform a range of day-to-day activities
    • Understands how the assigned duties relate to others in the team and how the team integrates with other teams
    • Has no supervisory responsibilities; manages own workload
    • Solves routine problems without supervisory approval; evaluates and selects solutions from established options
    • Impacts the quality of own work

    Qualifications/ Skills

    • Uses communication skills to exchange of information
    • Ability to independently manage projects
    • Ability to multitask and work well in a fast paced environment
    • Proficient in administrative and documentation procedures
    • Experience with Microsoft Office and Microsoft Outlook
    • High level of organizational skills with great attention to detail
    • High school diploma or equivalent
