    We are looking for an INFORMATION SECURITY ANALYST (TS/SCI required) to support the Test Resource Management Center (full-time, civil contract)


    SUMMARY:

    This position directly supports the Chief Operating Officer of the Test Resource Management Center in planning and carrying out security measures to protect TRMC's projects, networks, and systems, and it's responsible for protecting the data and information of the organization, employees, or users, which can exist in both physical and electronic form. The information security analyst is also responsible for making sure that data is accessible to those who are authorized to use it and to detect and report any breaches of the need-to-know access to information policy.


    MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Detecting, monitoring, and mediating various aspects of security-including physical security, software security, and network security
    • Performing compliance control testing and risk assessments
    • Developing recommendations and training programs to minimize security risks.
    • Collaborating with other teams and management within a company to implement the best security practices.
    • Conducting requirements analysis and validation, ensuring requirements are complete, consistent, concise, comprehensible, traceable, feasible, unambiguous, and verifiable, and that they conform to standards.
    • Executing tests of data processing systems to ensure the functioning of data processing activities and security measures.
    • Analyzing and evaluating the effectiveness of programs and their ability to meet DoD goals and objectives.
    • Researching and preparing draft and/or finished presentations to leadership and customers.
    • Performing research and analysis to enhance the development of products and services.
    • Conducting analysis, developing reports, and providing assessments of known threats and vulnerabilities
    • Identifying and addressing critical information gaps and reporting findings to senior management
    • Assisting with workflow management as required

    QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS

    • Experience with Correspondence and Task Management Systems (CATMS)
    • understanding of risk management frameworks
    • Excellent communication skills
    • Ability to assist in analyzing and evaluating the effectiveness of security operations in meeting established goals and objectives.
    • Ability to assist in gathering, identifying, receiving, examining, and integrating data on incidents from various sources following established guidelines, policies, and procedures.
    • Ability to assist in evaluating program progress status, trends in any functions, and goals and objectives.
    • Ability to assist in preparing responses to queries, reports, justifications, and background papers.
    • Ability to plan, organize, develop, coordinate, and represent the organization in briefings with internal and external senior stakeholders to inform them of the progress of initiatives.
    • Team player: ability to work successfully in a collaborative and diverse environment.
    • Problem-solving and pattern-recognition skills
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
    • Current Top Secret clearance required.

    DESIRED SKILLS:

    • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
    • Familiarity with privacy laws
