    Tasks and Responsibilities:
    • Supports operation'stasks ranging fromdaily assignments tolong term projects.
    • Regularly interacts with shop floor employees, leads and supervisors to understand issues and identify technical solutions. Provides regular training to supervisors and shop floor operators.
    • Continuously manages several Manufacturing Excellence projects to reduce manufacturing costs. Serve as change agent in continuous improvement.
    • Active participant in site wide continuous improvement activities. Idea generation and project implementation.
    • Manage CAPEX Projects; identify, justify and implement project. Projects ranging from $3kto $100k+
    • Lead root cause analysis exercises with a cross-functional team. Manage corrective action plan to completion in a timely manner.
    • Support or develop the design of new tools. Quote and manage new tool builds and tooling repairs with external vendors on a regular basis.
    • Design shop floor fixtures and manufacturing aids. Quote and manage builds with external vendors on a regular basis.
    • Develop/Modify work instructions to reflect best practices clarifying instructions and optimizing production efficiency.
    • Create and manage EngineeringChange Notices (ECNs) to completion.
    • Regularly interact with external customers regarding technical topics providing clear and thorough responses.
    • Support New Product Induction (NPI) team with tooling and process design.
    • Support Purchasing and Quality Departments with offsite vendor visits and audits as needed.
    • Support Quality Department with technical expertise as needed.
    Education and Experience:
    • BS/BA in related technical field; or 3-5 years related experience and/or training; or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
    Competencies:
    • Math and blueprint reading skills are required
    • Ability to analyze technical data
    • Good knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
    • Good communication skills - verbal and written
    • Ability to read and communicate effectively within all internal departments
    • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables
    • Demonstrates good judgment in investigating problems
