- Conduct spot checks and monthly audits of service documentation and billing certifications.
- Participate in internal audits, writing deficiency notes, and implementing corrective actions.
- Report deficiencies to management and advise on corrective measures.
- Alert Director of Compliance of potential risk areas.
- Stay current with Agency policies, OPWDD, and OMIG regulations.
- Conduct trainings for agency employees.
- Safeguard security and confidentiality of documents.
- Assist in developing auditing tools and documents.
- Assist with corrective actions and audit reports.
- Participate in Compliance Committee and other assigned committees.
- Maintain vendor and contract database.
- Conduct and document investigations.
- Review and monitor agency's EHR system and oversight agency's system.
- BA/BS degree in Human Services or related field.
- Minimum 2 years experience within OPWDD/OMIG regulations.
- Proficiency in written, verbal, organizational, and computer skills.
- Detail-oriented and self-driven with teamwork abilities.
- Completion of OPWDD and NYS Justice Center investigation course.
- Maintains professionalism and confidentiality.
- Successful completion of criminal background check and fingerprint examination.
- Flexibility for work location and travel.
