    Position Type: Full-Time

    Work Location: Remote(see COVID-19 procedures below)

    **COVID-19 Procedures: On-boarding may require 1-2 visits to Patuxent River, MD or other local base for badging and initial connection to the NMCI network. Training will be virtual and telework maximized/permitted to the greatest extent possible. Future on-site/telework requirements/schedules may change as additional client direction is received.

    Essential Functions: Spalding is looking for full stack developers to become part of a multifaceted and dynamic team supporting the US Naval Aviation community. Tasks include, but are not limited to the ability to:

    • Support Production applications, research and resolve production job failures, develop, and implement code changes and data fixes, and communicate with the customer on a daily basis to provide status of the production environment.
    • Become exposed to a variety of technologies including: .Net, JAVA, Oracle, Cognos, Informatica, and Teradata.
    • Ability to lead small teams of 2-3 people.
    • Other duties as assigned or required.

    Qualifications and Experience:

    Required:

    • Excellent communication skills; able to communicate with other developers, management, and customers.
    • At least three (3) years of customer service, communicating directly with customers to provide customer satisfaction.
    • At least three (3) years' experience with Oracle, Teradata, Sybase, SQL*Server, or other equivalent database experience.
    • At least 3 years of experience troubleshooting ETL code, databases, and web applications.

    Desired:

    • Familiarity with .Net, JAVA, Oracle, Cognos, Informatica, or Teradata is a plus.
    • Experience working with Application Lifecycle and Configuration Management software is highly desired.
    • Experience with Agile Methodology is a plus.
    • Experience with JIRA is a plus.
    • Developer certifications, E.g., Certified Software Development Professional (CSDP), Microsoft Certified Solutions Developer (MCSD), Microsoft Certified Applications Developer (MCAD), Microsoft Certified Database Administrator (MCDBA), Sun Certified Professional (SCP), Red Hat Certification Program (RHCP), CISCO Certified Network Professional (CCNP), or Oracle Certified Professional (OCP).

    Security Clearance:

    Active Secret clearance highly desired. Requirements to obtain a clearance include US Citizenship, security investigation, etc.

    Education:

    Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related discipline is highly desired.
