About the Senior Software Infrastructure Engineer Position at Raytheon:

Raytheon is on the lookout for a top-notch Senior Software Infrastructure Engineer with exceptional skills in DevOps tools to join the Satellite Ground Systems team. In this role, you'll be in charge of creating, implementing, and managing the software infrastructure necessary for the operation and supervision of satellite ground systems, focusing on automation, deployment, and monitoring. This position requires expertise and collaboration with systems engineers, hardware designers, and fellow software engineers for the delivery of dependable and high-performance software solutions.

Responsibilities:

Collaborate closely with various engineering disciplines in an agile DevOps environment.
Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues.
Develop and maintain documentation for the software infrastructure.
Provide guidance and mentorship to engineers.
Design and implement software infrastructure for satellite ground systems.

Requirements:

Minimum of 5 years' IT infrastructure management experience.
Proficiency in cloud services, especially AWS.
Experience with scripting languages like Python and Bash.
CompTIA Security+ Certification required.
Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM).
Active TS/SCI U.S. government issued security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

Knowledge of VMWare, AWS, and DevOps tools.
Experience in networking, distributed systems, and cloud computing.
Background in secure coding practices.
