Responsibilities

• The installation, configuration, and maintenance of multiple Oracle DBMS environments
• Proactive monitoring and Auditing of all databases
• Backup, recovery, disaster recovery and housekeeping tasks
• Incident, capacity and performance management for both production and development environments and databases
• Consult in design of efficient tables and indexes, apply table and view modifications
• Monitor and tune database performance
• Maintain security of databases by granting and revoking of privileges
• Utilize Database Utilities for the DBMS
• On-call rotation and out of hours working to support incidents and changes
• Significant hands-on experience with a combination of Oracle 12.x and 19c databases
• Strong UNIX experience
• Experience with logical and physical database design
• backup, recovery, and housekeeping
• performance monitoring and tuning
• Strong SQL and scripting skills
• In-depth knowledge of DataGuard, RMAN, and RAC
• Experience with AWS
• 2 or more years technical support experience in Oracle databases on Red Hat Linux
• Experience with Oracle Grid Control, TOAD, DBArtisan and SQL Developer.
