    Job Description

    Colonial Behavioral Health provides opportunities for recovery to individuals and their family members in the areas of mental illness, substance use disorder, and developmental disabilities. Colonial Behavioral Health serves the citizens of James City County, City of Poquoson, City of Williamsburg, and York County.

    We are currently recruiting for a Permanent Support Housing Manager within our Permanent Supportive Housing department. This position will be responsible for developing, implementing, and supervises permanent supportive housing and employment services to eligible populations which may include individuals with serious mental illness, including co-occurring substance use disorders, and developmental disabilities.

    Job Duties

    Job Responsibilities
    • Ensures programs meet the fidelity requirements with the evidenced -based model of Permanent Supportive Housing and applicable licensure, local, state, federal, Medicaid and agency operating procedures on a daily basis, to include adherence to agency and program procedures regarding health and safety, human rights, service documentation and established general operating procedures.
    • Takes an active role in developing Employment Services program to meet applicable regulations and accreditation.
    • Provides direct supervision to Permanent Supportive Housing and Employment Services staff and evaluates work performance on an on-going basis.
    • Assists in implementing a service delivery system that embraces a rehabilitation / habilitation model of recovery, self-determination, and empowerment.
    • Other duties as assigned
    Work Schedule

    Monday- Friday Standard Business Hours

    Occasional evening or weekend hours based on program needs.
    Qualifications (EEO)

    Skills and Qualifications
    • Knowledge of serious mental illness and/or DD symptoms including etiology, effects, resulting limitations, while providing interventions through housing and or employment activity or referral to other providers for these disorders.
    • Knowledge of landlord tenant agreements, Housing Quality Standards, Fair Housing, rental assistance eligibility and Trauma Informed Care.
    • Ability to effectively apply management and supervision practices in the operation and provision of services to consumers, including quality monitoring, employee evaluation, interagency collaboration, program planning and development
    • Effective communication skills.
    • Bachelor's degree in the Human Services or related field required.
    • Experience working with adults with mental illness and co-occurring disorders. required
    • Program Management and Supervisory experience. required
    • QMHP-A certification required
    • Valid Driver's license and acceptable driving record required.
