    COO/CFO position is a combined position with specific expectations.

    The CFO is responsible for all departmental functions in support of the hospital mission, vision, and facility goals. The CFO identifies the cost-effective systems needed to support the business of the department taking into account business trends, resource availability and changes in customers. This position establishes effective working relationships with all constituencies including patients, physicians, employees, volunteers and vendors. The CFO identifies and remedies through continuous customer satisfaction data and employee involvement. The CFO works with Senior Management in meeting Facility goals.

    The Chief Operations Officer is responsible for the following functions:

    • Conceptualize, develop and implement large complex projects
    • Be an effective communicator and presenter
    • Demonstrate an understanding of health care reform and health care policy
    • Participate in all aspects of strategic planning and development of the hospital
    • Analyze current staffing needs, recruiting, developing, and retaining qualified staffing
    • Assess operations, policies, systems and procedures
    • Coordinate IT infrastructure and needs with as appropriate
    • Oversee contracts for medical, administrative, consulting, and legal services
    • Interface with government and non-government regulatory accrediting agencies and provide effective advocacy on behalf of the hospital
    • Keep senior staff abreast of current and future market conditions and political factors affecting the health care field
    • Participate in committee meetings and assist with the development of meeting agendas
    • Represent the hospital in leadership functions, in all relevant healthcare associations, and maintain a presence in the business community
    • Communicate effectively with medical, professional, administrative, and other personnel to present information both orally and in written form

    The combined positions are responsible for directing and coordinating hospital activities regarding financial administration, aswell as the maintenance of the fiscal records. Develops, directs implementations, and ensures compliance of all hospital standards.

    Required Experience:
    • Bachelor's degree required.
    • Master's degree in healthcare administration or business administration required.
    • 5 years' experience .
    • Demonstrates competence in management and leadership skills to develop and implement organizational strategies and opportunities for improving hospital growth.
    • Maintain current knowledge and adhere to appropriate regulatory standards such as JCAHO, Medicare, Medicaid, and employment regulations.
    • Numerical ability to analyze problems and develop accounting systems to accurately control financial activity at hospital.
