- Provides high-quality complex and geriatric care to residents and patients across settings in partnership with non-physician practitioners and other interprofessional team members.
- Maintains high engagement with facility leadership teams, nurse practitioners/physician assistants, patients, and families.
- Collaborates with an average of 5 but up to 15 nurse practitioners and physician assistants to support them in their clinical roles.
- Audits up to 10% of practitioner medical orders and/or documentation for each provider monthly.
- May assume medical directorships for skilled and/or other senior living facilities.
- Identifies new growth opportunities with skilled facilities and/or other senior living facilities in the market/region.
- Participates in company frontline/backup call processes for timely response to acute changes of condition.
- Focuses on quality outcomes including care path compliance and productivity, prevention of avoidable transfers, and decrease in polypharmacy and costs of care.
- Doctor of Medicine degree from an accredited school of medicine.
- Two or more years of administrative leadership experience in healthcare.
- Clinical medical experience of seven years or more preferred.
- Board certification in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Geriatrics; qualification in Geriatrics preferred.
- Practicing physician currently licensed under the provisions of the State Board of Medicine.
- Active unrestricted licensure to practice in the state of employment.
- Current Drug Enforcement Administration registration.
