    Overview


    The Director of Virtual Product Development will work under the supervision of the Sr Director, Virtual Practice to lead the implementation and execution of pivotal solutions that drive organizational value.

    This role will foster collaborative, productive, and professional partnerships with key internal and external stakeholders (i.e., business owners, data analysts, IT systems engineers, etc.) to effectively enhance and grow ATI's digital portfolio, ensuring key product deliverables and timelines are maintained.

    This role will own the matrixed alignment of product design, overall product development, overall product implementation, and ongoing product optimization of key initiatives that effectively deliver on high-impact solutions of digital care delivery across our national ATI footprint, ultimately positively impacting organizational growth, improved clinician and patient experience, and best in class patient outcomes.

    The ideal candidate will possess exceptional strategic thinking, business acumen, and a proven ability to foster successful partnerships across diverse functions.

    Ability to travel at least 25% is critical to this role's success.


    Responsibilities


    Program Development and Optimization:

    • Work collaboratively with key stakeholders to develop a virtual product vision, strategy, and achievable outcome-based program roadmap.
    • Ensures all program development components of the virtual practice are coordinated and synced, including but not limited to, the development of optimal operational and clinical workflows, training coordination, IT, RCM, accounting, finance, and effective support of field change management.
    • Works closely with internal stakeholders to ensure that agreements, relationships, reporting, and products are properly supported for our members and our network partners.
    • Identifies and develops operational and administrative efficiencies that will accelerate, maintain, and track value for the practice.
    • Prioritize virtual projects based on potential value, feasibility, and alignment with company goals.
    • Leads and manages strategic virtual partners and supporting digital vendors.
    • Collaborates with IT and operations teams to ensure technical feasibility and alignment with existing technical tools and operational solutions.

    Overall Product Management and Execution:

    • Creates comprehensive business cases for selected product initiatives, outlining expected benefits, costs, risks, and resource requirements.
    • Analyzes financial and operational data to quantify potential improvements and ensure alignment with organizational objectives.
    • Manages the overall project plans for multiple virtual practice products and solutions at national scale.
    • Ensures vendor technical project plans are maintained and executed against.
    • Ensures ATI technical project plans align to vendor timelines and overall operational solution needs.
    • Maintains overall operational project plan utilizing an aligned tool.
    • Prepares and presents project plans and status reports to leader and project teams as directed.
    • Guides identified project team, assigns clear ownership by tasks and responsibility, tracks and maintains all open items, ensuring dependencies are accounted for in overall timelines, ensuring risks are consistently worked through for timely mitigation, and provides guidance and direction to project team members.
    • Supports field training and adoption as it relates to hybrid practice initiatives as necessary.
    • Researches and understands market trends to help provide input into the long-term roadmap

    Stakeholder Engagement:

    • Develops and fosters collaborative, productive, and professional partnerships with key stakeholders internally and externally.
    • Manages project meeting cadences effectively, ensuring pre and post communication details are well documented and disseminated.
    • Interacts, coordinates, and communicates with all levels of management, internal and external stakeholders to facilitate coordination with third party vendors to ensure effective use of systems and processes, provide project updates, and ensure coordination of activities for efficient implementation.
    • Appropriately escalates risk to program or product as necessary.
    • Works closely with field leaders to ensure program updates are clearly communicated and feedback is received and acted upon. Actively ensures the feedback process is closed loop.

    Analytics and Research:

    • Assists in the development, implementation and maintenance of key performance indicators and evaluation plans of assigned projects and/or programs.
    • Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, emerging technologies, and government or payor regulations relevant to physical therapy, remote therapeutic monitoring, AI, and virtual delivery of physical and occupational therapy services.

    Qualifications

    Minimum Education


    Required:


    • Bachelor's degree in business, operations management, healthcare or related field.

    Preferred:


    • Master's degree in business, healthcare, or related field.

    Minimum Experience


    Required:


    • 7+ years' experience in healthcare, healthcare operations, and/or healthcare product development.

    OR

    • Minimum of 4 years of experience in healthcare, healthcare operations, and/or healthcare product development or related roles AND a minimum of 3 years of direct patient care delivery with a track record of driving tangible results.

    Preferred:


    • 10+ years' experience in healthcare operations, and/or healthcare product development
    • Clinical background preferred (Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Registered Nurse, Nurse Practitioner or similar)

    Knowledge Skills and Abilities


    • The ideal candidate has demonstrated deep skills in digital product development, innovation, transformation, process improvement, and healthcare technology.
    • Prior experience in developing and implementing net new clinical workflows.
    • Experience designing, documenting, and measuring progress to target outcomes.
    • Experience establishing a strategy with a product team supporting a high growth area.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, capable of effectively conveying complex ideas to various stakeholders.
    • Ability to use multiple data sets and reports to develop meaningful analyses on actionable insights and measurable outcomes.
    • High level of adaptability and creative problem-solving ability.
    • Proven track record of successfully leading cross-functional teams and collaborating with colleagues from diverse departments.
    • Ability to manage multiple cross functional product development projects effectively.
    • Ability to learn new technical platforms with ease and proficiency.
    • Experience working in teams and managing / overseeing team members of various levels experience.
    • Demonstrated experience working in a highly collaborative, ambiguous environment, and bringing disciplined structure.
