    Job Description Summary

    The Operations Specialist is directly responsible to the RPM/SD for supporting operational aspects of the portfolio. This will include tasks that are both in the field and administrative. Conducts all business in accordance with company policies and procedures, Fair Housing laws, Americans with Disabilities Act, Fair Credit Reporting Act, Violence Against Women Act and all other laws pertaining to multifamily housing.

    Job Description

    Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

    • Developing, reviewing, and managing monthly Suit List and A/R Trackers through the on-site Property Managers. Will include all follow-up with attorney.
    • Developing, reviewing, and managing Affordability Tracker with the assistance of Affordable Compliance Manager.
    • Assistance with End-of-Month Reporting Process.
    • Oversight of and hands-on involvement with Resident ledger audits and adjustment projects.
    • Developing, reviewing, and managing tracker related to licenses, permits, DOB Violations, contract expirations.
    • Assistance with preparing contracts and gathering bids.
    • Replacement Reserve submission to lenders after compiled by Operations.
    • Completing additional special projects.
    • Assistance with Onboarding/Orientating new Onsite Staff

    Key Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

    • Strong property operations knowledge with at least 2 years of experience as an Assistant Aanager in the Multifamily industry.
    • Knowledge/experience in Tax Credit (LIHTC), HOME, or other affordable housing programs.
    • Proficiency in Yardi(or similar) software.
    • Thorough understanding of property financials, income statements, variance reporting.
    • Solid MS Office skills (Word, Outlook, Excel).
    • A positive attitude and willingness to be a team player. Flexibility is a key component of this position.
    • A passion for helping and assisting people, with ability to shift priorities and operate independently.
    • Strong organizational and communication skills.
