Job Title: Application Trainer & Support Specialist
Work Location: Folsom, CA
Duration:12-month contract with option to hire.
Education/Experience Required: Ability to troubleshoot basic application, device, and connectivity issues.
Job Description & Responsibilities :

• Deliver in-person and virtual training sessions for districts, sites, fleet managers, technicians, and end users.
• Facilitate structured Fleetio Academy courses, including:
  • Application fundamentals
  • Role-based workflows (e.g., technicians, fleet managers, drivers)
  • Preventive maintenance (PM) setup and usage
  • Inspections, work orders, inventory, and asset management
• Lead training classes of up to 30 attendees with varying technical backgrounds.
• Develop and maintain training materials, user guides, and quick-reference documents tailored to Waste Connections processes.
• Provide training on new Fleetio features, enhancements, and process changes.
• Support districts during system conversions, data transitions, and post-implementation stabilization.

Support & Troubleshooting

• Serve as a dedicated post-training application support resource for Fleetio users.
• Deliver top-tier customer service while supporting a broad range of user experience levels.
• Troubleshoot basic technical issues related to:
  • Web-based applications
  • Tablets and mobile devices
  • Fleetio functions, workflows, and configurations
• Quickly adapt to platform updates, enhancements, and feature releases.
• Escalate complex issues to appropriate internal teams or to Fleetio Support when required.

Collaboration & Communication

• Communicate clearly and professionally through verbal, written, desk-side, and phone interactions.
• Work independently and as part of a collaborative team across multiple departments.
• Maintain exceptional organization and attention to detail when managing training schedules, support logs, and rollout activities.
• Remain flexible and adaptable in a dynamic, fast-paced training and support environment.
• Partner closely with Operations, IT, Fleet teams, and Fleetio Academy leadership to ensure training alignment and process consistency.

Skills & Qualifications :

• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Proven ability to conduct training both virtually and in person.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to troubleshoot basic application, device, and connectivity issues.
• Comfort learning and supporting software platforms-specifically Fleetio.
• Ability to quickly learn and teach new features, workflows, and system changes.
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative, high-performing team.
• Willingness and ability to travel as required.
