Today Mercury Broadband's rapidly expanding network is headquartered in Kansas City and provides Internet access to communities throughout five states across the Midwest.

    Position Summary: The Field Sales and Marketing Associate position is responsible for leading the company's local Sales and Marketing support activities within the defined Service Center markets. This position will report directly to the Director of Sales or Filed Sales and Marketing Manager. The Sales and Marketing Associate is responsible for driving and implementing local sales activities to meet/exceed established sales targets for the local Service Center areas. The position will be responsible for prospecting, sales presentations, community networking, and closing sales orders as primary responsibilities---targeting local businesses, schools, and wholesale partners.

    In addition, this role will work closely with Corporate Marketing and the local Service Center General Manager to implement, and support designed localized marketing and promotional campaigns, develop, and attend local community trade shows/events and networking functions, and initiate programs to help increase local brand awareness and drive new sales leads. Finally, the Field Sales and Marketing Associate should identify targeted local advertising and sponsorship opportunities and manage an assigned local budget for those initiatives.

    Key Responsibilities:

    1. Area Business Sales (20%)
      • Prospecting new local business leads
      • Making SMB sales proposals
      • Closing new SMB business deals
      • Business community networking
      • Chamber and Local Events
    2. Lead Service Center Community/Local Marketing/Brand Ambassadorship Programs (40%)
      • Local events and trade shows
      • Local lead generation and consumer registrations
      • Brand awareness building
      • Local sponsorships and advertising programs
      • Hand out company swag at events
      • Deploy yard signs in service areas
    3. Local Government/Municipalities Relations (10%)
      • Town Hall meetings
      • Meet with County Commissioners, City Council, etc.
      • Community Proposals
    4. Support Residential Lead Generation/Sales Activities in Service Center (30%)
      • Field tech lead support
      • Training as needed
      • Lead generation and lead follow-up
      • Write and close sales Residential
      • Local sales agent/referral partner recruitment/training/support

    Skills and Requirements:

    • Minimum 1 year of direct customer service, marketing, or sales experience
    • Experience in B-B, Wholesale and Education market sales, preferably within the technology industry is a plus
    • Experience working with Marketing functions with a Social Media focus
    • Track record of meeting or exceeding established sales goals
    • Strong communicator and presentation skills, excellent interpersonal and analytic skills
