Nurse Practitioner - CRNP (Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner)

A Child's Place PA

Pittsburgh, PA

Description:

The mission of A Child's Place, PA is to improve the health, safety, and well-being of children, particularly those at risk for abuse and neglect.

We are currently seeking a compassionate, and professional, nurse practitioner, experienced in child abuse medicine. SANE (Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner) Certification preferred.

The nurse practitioner will be responsible for the medical evaluation, care, and diagnosis/treatment of children with suspected sexual abuse, physical abuse, and neglect.

This care will be provided at our main office (Allegheny County) and travel to our satellite sites (Westmoreland, Beaver, Washington, Butler, and Fayette Counties) is required.

Additional duties include providing clinical consultation to partnering agencies and multi-disciplinary team members, coordinating care with families, team, and partnering agencies, providing child abuse education to the community, and providing court testimony as required.

Limited on call will also be required.

Education:
Licensed Pediatric or Family Nurse Practitioner in Pennsylvania

Work Experience:
3-5 years experience with examination of children suspected of abuse.

Additional Skills:
Demonstrate effective listening skills and communication skills

Demonstrate problem solving skills

Computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office products

Ability to be flexible and demonstrate being a team player

Ability to be organized and detail oriented

Ability to manage time effectively

Other:
Must submit to a thorough criminal history/background check

Must have access to a vehicle, possess a valid PA driver's license and proof of insurance as position does require daily and weekly travel to satellite sites.

Must be available for limited on call
