- Valid NJ State Respiratory Care Practitioner License
- RRT certification by National Board for Respiratory Care
- BLS certification and ACLS certification
- NRP certification required within 60 days of hire
- Pulmonary Fucntion Test (PFT)
- Day Shift
- Per Diem Schedule
- Ability to see and hear well, have mechanical and manual dexterity to work with machines
- Must be able to apply scientific knowledge and theory to practical problems and basic mathematics
- Able to collect, assess or retrieve data reflective of the patients
- Collaborates with physician in the development of overall plan of care
- Demonstrates correct operation of equipment and understands rationale for use
- Demonstrates knowledge of codes
- Documents staff/patient incidents and notifies individuals of events
- Follows the established infection control practices such as hand hygiene, glove disposal, etc
- Initiates treatments as ordered of MDI, HFN, CPT, Aerosol treatment under physician s supervision
- Interprets and evaluates the appropriate information needed to identify each patient s needs and requirements relative to his/her age specific needs
- Maintains and uses pulmonary equipment such as mechanical ventilators, therapeutic gas administration apparatus, and aerosol generators
- Maintains inventory of respiratory supplies and alerts Practice Manager of inventory needs
