- Generate new product designs as well as design modifications to existing product lines to satisfy customer requirements.
- Direct building of prototypes and development hardware.
- Coordinate the required design and technical activities for new projects.
- Provide design solutions to manufacturing problems.
- Review and coordinate procedures for hardware development, acceptance, and qualification testing.
- Provide supervisory guidance to more junior Design Engineers on projects – including proposal and development work.
- Preform or verify engineering technical calculations in order to meet business performance and safety standards.
- Prepare supplier document requirement lists for internal design reviews.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
- 5+ years of Design Engineering experience
- Project management experience.
- Technical writing experience – acceptance test procedures, qualification test reports, design reports, etc.
- Experience in design of mechanical components, valves, motors, etc.
- CADD – SolidWorks knowledge strongly preferred.
- Interest in problem solving and continuous improvement.
- Exhibit strong knowledge of engineering principals – including fluid flow and dynamics, strength of materials, thermal analysis, etc.
- Strong communication skills required – this individual will need to be able to communicate with clients, sales team, and other engineers.
- MUST BE a permanent US resident
