    *This position is located in our Mason City, Iowa Facility*

    Job Description

    Manages all production activities for Milling 1st Shift maintaining acceptable levels of production and quality criteria.

    Monitor production and quality levels in Milling Department. Communicates production activities and requirements.

    Participates in production problem solving and process improvements or adjustments / Participates in Lean initiatives

    Participates in production scheduling, including: Mixing, extruding, compounding schedules, incoming raw material receiving and outgoing shipping activities.

    Performs maintenance and troubleshooting of computerized mixer controls including interaction with Controls Vendors and maintenance personnel to minimize production downtime and production of non-conforming product

    Ensures timely delivery of proper training for employees

    Reports maintenance issues and coordinates maintenance activities as required

    Maintains accurate employee records including attendance, performance review, accident/injury reports, and other critical reports. Maintains a positive, motivational work environment for all employees. Coaches employees and administers corrective disciplinary actions when necessary as well as positive reinforcement.

    Participates in safety activities including: safety tours, training and accident/incident review. Aids in developing and reviewing JSA's for areas of responsibilities

    Qualifications

    High School Diploma or equivalent education

    5+ years of experience in rubber manufacturing preferred or other manufacturing experience

    Familiarity with TQM, JIT, MRP systems and problem-solving skills

    Positive interpersonal skills are a requirement
