Credit Analyst I - Carbondale - First Southern Bank

Description

This position is under the direction of the Senior Vice President of Asset Quality/CRO and is responsible for the evaluation of the financial condition of individuals and businesses applying for credit. This individual is responsible for gathering and analyzing credit information on current and potential borrowers. Will provide ongoing monitoring of credit exposure by preparing annual reviews on commercial credits along with tracking and securing financial statements on required credits. Will perform credit analysis of financial statements, tax returns and collateral with direction and supervision along with periodically contacting customers to obtain financial information or supporting documentation necessary in the completion of the commercial analysis. This individual will also perform other duties as needed.

Skills required

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting or Finance
• Minimum two (2) years of experience in the field or in a related area
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (extensive experience with Excel)
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
• Basic knowledge of accounting, balance sheets, income statements, cash flow preparation and analysis
• Ability to work independently
• Strong organizational skills
• Ability to organize and prioritize to meet deadlines
