    Overview:

    Bachelors Prepared Civilian Certified Athletic Trainers

    MedTrust is hiring Certified Athletic Trainers to support the program at Military Facilities in San Antonio, TX.

    Position Details:

    • No Federal Holidays
    • Normal hours of operation will be nine (9) hours in length including a one (1) hour lunch
      break, Monday through Friday.
    • Joint Base San Antonio (JBSA), TX area;
      Lackland Air Force Base (AFB), Lackland Medina Annex, and Camp Bullis.

    $23.53

    Responsibilities:
    • Reports to Sports Medicine Officer in Charge (OIC)
    • Develop and implement strength training and aerobic conditioning programs for implementation in large group settings for performance optimization and primary prevention of injuries. Provide appropriate corrective exercise programs to address neuromuscular control, posture, lumbopelvic and foot core stability, and functional/occupational reconditioning.
    • Assess Airmen/Trainees to screen for factors that would increase their risk of injury/illness.
    • Provide appropriate clinical follow-up for reevaluation of individuals with injuries.
    • Assist in coordinating and supervising fitness of Airmen/Trainees who either are working to recover from an injury and/or have failed a physical fitness test.
    • Ensure referrals are accurate, appropriate, and efficiently placed
    • Work congruently with other Athletic Trainers, Sports Medicine OIC, sports medicine physician(s), and Military leadership to ensure clinical care objectives are met in their assigned site/squadron
    • Evaluate and recommend new techniques and equipment that would enhance the benefit of performance optimization for the sports medicine team.
    Qualifications:
    • Bachelors degree from a Commission
      on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education (CAATE) accredited ATEP in Athletic
      Training and/or Masters degree from a Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training
      Education (CAATE) accredited Athletic Training Education Program (ATEP) in Athletic
      Training.
    • Bachelors degree must have at least three (3) years of
      experience working with athletes in high school, collegiate, professional, or military
      settings. If HCW holds a Masters degree, then no work experience is required.
