    Job Details:

    • Work 4 ten-hour shifts per week from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday
    • On-call requirement every third weekend
    • Minimum 5 years of experience required with 1 year recent experience in a Level 3 Trauma facility
    • Prior travel experience preferred but not required
    • Must be able to operate POC devices
    • High school diploma or college degree required for CAPS certification

    Required certifications:
    BLS and ABCP (American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion)


    • Tennessee Clinical Perfusionist License required
    • Work with pediatric congenital heart patients ages 0-21 years
    • No ECMO procedures, occasional VAD procedures including pedimag/centrimag, heartmate III and berlin
    • Operate perfusion equipment including Spectrum HLM, Hepcon HMS, Frensenius CATS Cell Saver, Hemochron Jr. ACT, CardioQuip Heater Coolers

    Work with VAD equipment:
    Centrimag/Pedimag, Heartmate III, Berlin


    • Perfusion department runs an N+1 model (n = rooms)
    • Orientation occurs weekly on Mondays
    • Float assignments not required

    Facility:
    This specialized children's hospital provides comprehensive pediatric cardiac care services with advanced perfusion capabilities. The facility operates as a Level 3 Trauma center and maintains state-of-the-art cardiac surgery equipment and technology.

    The hospital focuses exclusively on pediatric patients and offers complex cardiac procedures including VAD support, serving children from birth through 21 years of age with congenital heart conditions.
