We are currently hiring for a 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift CNC Machinist
who will join our team in Glendale Heights, IL. You will have the opportunity to join a growing company with a great culture, benefits, and health insurance.This position is for a CNC Machinist where they will be working on Okuma CNC Mills and Okuma CNC Lathes. The role requires someone to read blueprints or drawings, set up the machine, edit G Codes, and then run the part for production. They will be required to operator and run their machine performing quality checks with micrometers and calipers at the end of the process. The machines they have are CNC Mills (3 Axis), and CNC Lathes, Manual Bridgeport Mills, Manual Lathes.
Job Responsibilities:
Read and interpret blueprints along with work orders lists to gather proper materialsSet up and operate both CNC Mills and LathesCreate program off of drawings and use MastercamPerform quality checks with analog micrometers and calipers (no digital)
Edit programs with G Codes and MastercamPart runs between 50 to 100 pieces
Job Requirements:At least 5 years' experience as a CNC Programmer/Machinist working on both mill and lathe machinesExperienced in utilizing Mastercam to create programsAbility to work off of blueprints as well as verbal instructionsWork within a job shop environment with a variety of parts and low part runs
