Job summary

This is a seasonal role as a Lead Elf Assistant starting in November/December, with full-time or part-time hours based on your availability and business needs. The role involves managing a small team of Santa's Helpers throughout the holiday season, promoting a positive, collaborative environment, and maintaining core values and policies.

Responsibilities

• Promote a positive, collaborative environment and maintain our core values and policies
• Assist Lead Elf (Local Manager) with preparations for the opening day
• Take high-quality photos of families and children with Santa
• Help with Elf recruitment and training
• Jump in to support your fellow Elves whenever needed
• Support in creating a magical, Elf-friendly atmosphere
• Ensure proper setup and operation of the Santa Set
• Lead by example and reinforce policies and procedures established by senior management
• Troubleshoot technical issues and escalate to IT or Local Management when needed
• Assist Local Manager with administrative tasks

Qualifications

• Strong teamwork and organizational skills, with a love for the holidays
• Ability to provide excellent customer service with a friendly Elf-like attitude
• Team player who can work independently and understands the importance of leadership
• Excellent time management and problem-solving skills as well as the ability to use good judgment and make strong, independent decisions
• Ability to process sales transactions and comfortable with cash handling
• Professional attire and good hygiene are a must
• Available to attend mandatory pre-season training
• Flexibility and willingness to work during peak retail hours
• Available to work a minimum of 20 hours a week or as needed

Skills

• Previous retail/assistant manager and photography experience preferred
• Ability to stand for long periods while maintaining a festive demeanor
• Ability to lift and carry equipment up to 10-25 pounds
