    Production Supervisor – 1st Shift

    Position Purpose:

    Lead and supervise unionized work groups to produce quality products, safely, efficiently and on time.

    Responsibilities:

    Supervise daily operations to ensure customer service, shipping, quality, safety and cost objectives are met.

    Interface and partner with purchasing, production control and planners to ensure supplies are available to meet scheduled ship dates.

    Proactively create a culture of safety and excellence.

    Coordinate daily labor scheduling and effective resource allocation within the Collective Bargaining Agreement.

    Operate functions within budget.

    Train, evaluate and take corrective action with employees as appropriate.

    Effectively communicate with functional areas across the organization to insure on time quality products.

    Effectively communicate with all other supervisors to ensure efficient flow of work across shifts.

    Qualifications:

    Five years supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.

    Experience supervising within a union environment.

    Working knowledge of MRP/ERP systems. Plex experience a plus.

    The ability to read blueprints.

    Experience with Demand Flow Technologies and/or Lean Manufacturing concepts and practices.

    Previous experience in Engineered to Order products manufacturing preferred.

    Previous heat exchanger/pressure vessel manufacturing preferred.

    ASME code requirements knowledge preferred.

    Working knowledge of metals.

    Proficiency in using Microsoft Programs (Excel/Word/PowerPoint/Outlook)

    Pay Range: $65,000-$75,000
