Role and Responsibilities
Reporting to the CEO, the Vice President of DEI & Data will support DEI goals, implement DEI equity and proportionality audits, facilitate DEI training, enhance communications strategy, manage projects, and implement programming aligned to the PSOE DEI Strategy.
This position will partner closely with the Vice President of DEI and Community, as well as team members across all facets of the PSOE organization, implementing and managing impactful data-driven initiatives to create a more diverse, equitable, and inclusive culture.
This position will support the central office team and school leadership teams, managing large and complex DEI projects. The level of work required is considered advanced and highly confidential.Responsibilities
Oversee PSOE's Recovery model fidelity and implementation & program data
Perform annual salary equity audits and produce internal reports with action items based on data
Perform quarterly discipline data audits and produce internal reports with action items based on data
Perform annual culture audits and produce internal reports with action items based on data
Act as an academic achievement gap consultant with benchmarked reporting
Provide cultural competency training oversight – including vetting and scheduling Tier I classroom training
Collaborate with the DEI team, executive team, site-level equity teams, counselors, and recovery coordinators
Lead the school-level opportunity committees
Liaison with the board opportunity committee
Provide on-call assistance to answer questions and provide training, as appropriate, for school leaders and reporting officials.
Build and maintain relationships with critical community stakeholders
Represent PSOE in public-facing meetings with partners and with the media when requested by C-suite.
Act as a professional advisor to the C-suite and school principals on all aspects of the organization's DEI compliance and reporting activities.
Foster effective teamwork with school leadership, as applicable.Ensure effective systems are implemented effectively to track scaling progress and regularly evaluate program components, so as to measure successes that can be effectively communicated.
Stay current on all due dates, legislative changes, and other news that would affect DEI reporting and compliance related to the organization.
Qualifications and Education RequirementsThe PSOE VP of DEI & Data will be thoroughly committed to the PSOE mission. All candidates must have proven leadership, coaching, and relationship management experience.
Concrete demonstrable experience and other qualifications include:
Minimum Bachelor's degree with related experience.
Unwavering commitment to quality programs and data-driven program evaluation.
Excellence in organizational management with the ability to set and achieve strategic objectives.
Past success working collaboratively with a team with the ability to cultivate relationships.
Strong written and verbal communication skills; a persuasive and passionate communicator with excellent interpersonal and multidisciplinary project skills.
Preferred Skills
Strong proficiency in modern business and technology software and applications.
Knowledge of leadership and management principles as they relate to non-profit/ voluntary organizations.
Knowledge of all federal and provincial legislation applicable to charter organizations.
Drive to solve problems and grow from feedback for the success and advancement of the organization.
