    Job Overview

    This associate director level position is within the IT department and reports to the Director of Platform Engineering. Our mission is to build the future technology stack for our software development teams to leverage.

    The platform technologies we build will support the firm's entire investment process from portfolio construction to trading and trading analytics, middle and back-office functions.

    We are seeking a senior level software developer to work with our team of experts, building new technology frameworks that allow users to access data and existing systems across the entire Arrowstreet Investment Process.

    Responsibilities


    The candidate will be responsible for collaborating with the team on designing and implementing platforms and frameworks that other development teams can leverage.

    The initial focus area will be on building a new common UI framework for developing and hosting micro front end, but we expect the candidate to contribute to all areas of platform development, from building cloud infrastructure to designing and developing platform micro-services to modern responsive web UIs.

    A successful candidate must be passionate about web technology, must keep up to date on the latest changes in the industry, and should understand software design patterns.

    They should be self-motivated, process-driven and a problem solver. This role is responsible for designing software solutions which take complex investment ideas and bring them to life. Collaboration with other software development leads and teams is a critical part of the success in this particular role.

    Good collaboration with other teams within IT and a mindset for solutions that leverages a common foundation and development principles
    Qualifications

    At least 5 years of experience with TypeScript / JavaScript
    At least 3 years of experience with DevOps / CI/CD pipelines, and Agile Scrum
    At least 2 years of experience developing in C# or Python
    At least 2 years of experience with Cloud, preferably AWS
    At least 2 years of experience with React
    At least 2 years of working with message / event-based architectures
    Additional Preferences

    Experience with automated testing frameworks
    Platform Engineering or Composable Application experience would be a plus
    Cloud Certifications at developer or solution architect level would be a plus
