    American Traveler is seeking a Mammography Technologist with 2+ years of mammography experience and ARRT(M) certification for a 13-week travel assignment at a JCAHO-accredited regional hospital in Northwestern Arizona serving the Western Navajo Nation.

    Responsibilities
    Position is in the Radiology Services department within the Ancillary Care Division of a 68-bed general and surgical hospitalThe facility serves as the primary healthcare center for approximately 40,000 beneficiaries of the Western Navajo Nation, Hopi, and San Juan Southern Paiute Indian ReservationsProcedures include screening and diagnostic mammography, stereotactic biopsy, ductograms, needle localization, and breast tomosynthesisWork involves assisting a Radiologist with special proceduresSchedule is Tuesday through Friday, 4x10-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PMFacility is located in a rural area of Northwestern Arizona on the Colorado Plateau, serving a culturally diverse Native American and surrounding communityFingerprinting must be completed and cleared prior to start; this is handled during the compliance process via mailOrientation is held every 2 weeksCOVID and flu vaccine exemptions may be accepted upon submission of a declination formContractor housing is available but very limited — no pets or family members are permitted in shared housingHousing application must be submitted 2 weeks prior to start date

    Requirements
    Minimum of 2 years of mammography experience and 2 years as a Radiologic TechnologistMust have completed radiology training from an AMA-approved school of RadiologyARRT(RT) and ARRT(M) certifications requiredCurrent BLS certification from the American Heart Association requiredArizona Radiology (R) license required if applicableExperience with stereotactic biopsy, ductograms, needle localization, and breast tomosynthesis requiredSSN required for consideration
