    Description

    Road and Highway Builders is looking for an experienced Safety Manager

    Summary

    This position works with the Area Manager's, Project Manager's, Superintendents and Foreman. Their roll will be assisting and implementing our Safety and Health processes and ensuring the achievement of standard operating procedures and goals. This position is responsible managing multiple project sites within Nevada, California, and Hawaii.

    Job Responsibilities

    • Maintain divisional Safety and Health Program that meets or exceeds corporate requirements.
    • Ensures timely reporting of statistical data to corporate.
    • Maintain all administrative tasks related to specific safety documentation/filing systems, etc.
    • Acting as a resource for field operations with our company safety program, Federal (OSHA), state, and local safety and health regulations.
    • Assist with Pre-Construction Safety Planning Meetings and indoctrinations.
    • Conduct regularly scheduled site evaluations, follow up and tracking of corrections to deficiencies
    • Attend Tool Box Talks/Discussions.
    • Assist with incident investigations and developing learning opportunities.
    • Active coordination with Risk Management for identification of claims trends and pro-active risk management planning.
    • Assist in delivering and documenting training of employees as related to their scope of work.
    • Tracking our company safety KPI's utilizing our online safety platform.
    • Extensive regional travel required.

    Performs other duties as assigned.

    Education/Experience

    • of Science degree in Occupational Health and Safety or equivalent experience.
    • years of field safety experience in the Construction Industry.
    • Preferred of construction safety supervisory experience
    • of construction safety and management techniques.
    • understanding and the ability to locate company programs and applicable federal, state, local regulations.
