    Job Description Summary

    The Associate Director, Brand and Creative Services advises and collaborates with internal partners across the university to activate the Bentley brand across all channels. The ideal candidate will be comfortable developing content for various mediums including social media, video and photo, web, email, direct mail, licensing, events and environmental signage. The Associate Director will need to effectively manage internal stakeholders and both designers / developers with equal ease, cultivating relationships and influencing as appropriate. This position reports to the Executive Director of Brand and Creative Services.

    Essential Duties

    • Brand Activation. Serve as primary point of contact on brand-related projects including several key partnerships with outside organizations. Facilitate communication between external partners and internal team. Serve as project manager, developing and managing schedules, writing creative briefs and working with developers and content creators to ensure partnership assets are on strategy, on schedule and on time.
    • Licensing. With partners in Procurement, co-manage the university's licensing program ensuring that all production vendors meet our design, quality and ethical standards. Review and approve all new licensee applications. Review and approve or if needed, provide direction / feedback for all creative submissions from vendors. Communicate program details and requirements internally. Resolve issues and concerns regarding program compliance. Develop programs and promotions to grow revenue from licensing.
    • Brand Management. Manage Bentley's brand site, including development of new tools, templates and resources. Develop innovative ways to communicate with and train marketing partners across campus. Collaborate on the development and use of brand assets and advocate for a template-driven approach when appropriate. Collaborate with Enrollment, Advancement and Athletics to align their plans and projects with Bentley's umbrella brand platform.

    Other Duties

    • Collaborate with Procurement and Legal to develop and execute partnership contracts.
    • Suggest ways to align the university's brands with key audiences: prospects, current students, alums, faculty, staff, alumni and corporate partners.
    • Ensure university marks are trademarked as needed / appropriate.
    • Update brand guidelines annually or as needed.
    • Serve as project manager, defining marketing objectives, audiences and content, ultimately producing project plans to guide work from the creative and development teams.
    • Opportunities to develop skills in web site design, photography, video and social media / content.

    Minimum Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree. Bachelor's degree in marketing or related field preferred.
    • 5 years of related work experience.
    • Experience developing, executing and measuring programs and projects.
    • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with both internal and external partners, creative teams and developers.
    • Proficiency in managing multiple projects with competing deadlines in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
    • Excellent collaboration, organizational, time management, customer service and problem-solving skills.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills with experience presenting to and engaging with senior leaders and partners.
    • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience managing clients / projects in an agency setting.
    • Experience in higher education marketing and branding, working with faculty, staff and administration.
    • Experience overseeing both print and digital asset development and production.
    • Innovative and has a passion for continued learning about latest industry trends, best practices and tools to be used by the department.

    Work Environment

    • Ability to travel around campus for meetings and other work-related events.
    • Ability to travel to off-campus work-related events.
    • Typical office setting with extensive sitting and computer work.
