    Job Description

    American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Neonatal ICU position requiring an IL RN license, NICU Level 3-4 and Trauma 1 experience, and proficiency with Epic.

    Responsibilities
    Work in a Level 3-4 Neonatal Intensive Care Unit within a hospital setting
    Provides care for critically ill neonates and supports breastfeeding and baby-friendly practices
    Required to work 12-hour day shifts from 7:00AM to 7:30PM, three days per week
    EPIC EMR system is used and prior experience is required
    Responsible for comprehensive neonatal nursing assessments, care planning, intervention, and documentation
    Assists in medication administration, monitoring intake and output, and multidisciplinary rounds
    Provides support for mothers with breastfeeding initiation and baby-friendly care practices
    RTO (time off) not to exceed 7 days for a 13-week contract
    Assignment cannot exceed 1 year continuously; 6-month break required before returning
    Scrub or dress code details specific to the unit apply
    Travel partners are not accepted for this assignment

    Requirements
    Active Illinois RN license in good standing (temporary license accepted)
    Associate's Degree in Nursing (ASN) required
    Minimum 2-3 years of recent NICU experience in a Level 3-4 environment
    Experience in a Level 1 Trauma setting required
    Current BLS (AHA) and NRP (AHA) certifications required
    Fluency in English (speak, read, write)
    Must reside at least 50 miles away from the facility; local candidates are not accepted
