Our client in NYC is currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Product Development Specialist with expertise in tools and a strong understanding of the home improvement industry.

As a Product Development Specialist, you will play a key role in driving innovation and success in our home improvement product line.

This position offers an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about product development and merchandising in the home improvement sector.

Responsibilities:

Research and analyze market trends, customer preferences, and competitor offerings in the home improvement industry, specifically focusing on drill tools.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, engineering, and marketing, to develop and launch new and improved drill tool products.

Conduct product testing, performance evaluations, and quality assurance to ensure our drill tools meet the highest standards of functionality and durability.

Develop comprehensive product specifications, including features, pricing, and packaging, while considering target market needs and competitive positioning.
Work closely with merchandisers and retail partners to optimize product placement and drive sales in home improvement stores.
Monitor and evaluate product performance post-launch, gathering feedback from customers and making necessary adjustments to enhance product offerings.

Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field.
Previous experience in product development, merchandising, or a similar role within the home improvement industry.
In-depth knowledge and understanding of drill tools, including their features, applications, and market trends.
Strong analytical skills, with the ability to gather and interpret data to drive informed decision-making.
