    Salary Range:
    Up to approx. $247.15 per day. Pay starts at an entry rate which is 85% of the full rate.

    DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

    This position is responsible for operating company trucks and other material-handling equipment, as well as managing materials.

    TRUCK & EQUIPMENT OPERATION


    • Operate company trucks, trailers and tractor trailers
    • Maintain accurate driver's daily logs as required by Motor Carrier Safety Regulations
    • Operate material-handling equipment such as forklift trucks, stackers, equipment movers, and delivery vehicles

    MATERIALS MANAGEMENT

    • Order, receive, stock, disperse, load and unload materials
    • Maintain required documentation

    TYPING REQUIREMENT

    • This position requires successful candidates to take and pass a typing test, arranged through BNSF
    • The minimum net typing rate required for this position is 25 wpm

    WORKING CONDITIONS

    • Extreme all-weather conditions
    • Walk and perform work on uneven surfaces

    SHIFTS/HOURS


    • 40-hour work week, subject to overtime, on-call, and alternate shifts that may include weeknights, weekends, and holidays

    TRAVEL

    • Pick up and delivery of material at Havre and various line points - up to two days per week based on destination of deliveries.

    BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

    • 21 years of age or older
    • Possess a valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with HAZMAT, combination vehicle and air brake endorsements, or ability to obtain one within 60 days of employment
    • Available to report for duty at the designated work location
    • Able to work safely in the above working conditions
    • Able to work the above shift/hours
    • Able to meet the above typing requirement
    • Ability to read, write and communicate (speak, hear and understand) English
    • Ability to lift and carry up to 70 pounds
    • Ability to visually distinguish colors - red, blue, green, yellow and lunar (clear light)
    • Ability to discriminate and differentiate between verbal and non-verbal sounds (signals, alarms, etc.) in the work environment
    • Ability to learn to identify, interpret and use hand signals from near and far and visually judge the speed and distance of moving objects
    • Ability to perform basic functions on a personal computer (PC)
    • Able to use hands and hand tools to perform activities involving holding, grasping, turning and pulling
    • Ability to occasionally climb ladders and on/off equipment
    • Ability to bend, walk, stand and sit for several hours with breaks
    • Follow safety policies and procedures and wear the required personal protective equipment required for the job in a safe manner
