    Job DescriptionAbout UsThe Public Works Department is a core division of City works, playing a critical role in the maintenance of a city's infrastructure and public spaces. If you're available for seasonal work during the summertime, the City has great opportunities that will assist with gaining beneficial work experience that highlight your ability to be flexible and adaptable.

    OverviewAs a Summer Laborer, you will assist the Public Works team with their planned projects. Having polite communication is a must as you may interact with the public, like any neighborhood - people like to ask questions If you have customer service experience, enjoy being outside and working with hands-on projects, this is for opportunity for you
    Responsibilities
    • Assist with painting fire hydrants and maintaining public areas.
    • Assist with any street clean-up projects.
    • Perform minor repairs and maintenance tasks.
    • Collaborate with fellow team members to ensure efficient operations.
    • Follow safety protocols and guidelines at all times.
    • Complete other assigned projects.

    Qualifications and Skills
    • High school diploma or equivalent.
    • 18 years or older (role may include light OT).
    • Physical ability to perform manual labor.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
    • Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
    • Job offer is contingent on a background and UA drug screen (includes THC).
    • Experience in landscaping, agriculture, community service, etc. preferred
    • Familiarity with basic tools and equipment preferred

    Schedule: Monday - Friday (8:00AM - 5:00PM)
    Compensation: $ $22.00 Hourly
