    We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our finance team. The Staff Accountant will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records, performing various accounting tasks, and supporting financial reporting activities. The ideal candidate should possess strong analytical skills, a solid understanding of accounting principles, and the ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

    Responsibilities:

    1. Financial Record Maintenance:
      • Maintain and update financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger entries, and journal entries.
      • Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data by reconciling accounts and transactions regularly.
    2. Month-End and Year-End Closing:
      • Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes by preparing adjusting entries, accruals, and reconciliations.
      • Generate financial statements and reports to support management decision-making.
    3. Accounts Payable and Receivable:
      • Process accounts payable transactions, including invoice verification, coding, and payment processing.
      • Manage accounts receivable functions, including invoicing, collections, and reconciliations.
    4. Financial Analysis:
      • Analyze financial data and trends to identify variances, discrepancies, and opportunities for improvement.
      • Prepare financial reports, forecasts, and budgets to assist in financial planning and decision-making.
    5. Compliance and Audit Support:
      • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and company policies.
      • Assist in internal and external audits by providing supporting documentation and explanations as needed.
    6. Expense Management:
      • Monitor and track expenses, analyze spending patterns, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
      • Work closely with department heads to review and manage departmental budgets.
    7. Process Improvement:
      • Identify inefficiencies in accounting processes and procedures and propose solutions for improvement.
      • Implement best practices to streamline workflows and enhance productivity.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
    • 2+ years of experience in accounting or finance roles.
    • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, NetSuite) and MS Excel.
    • Strong understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and financial reporting standards.
    • Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
    • Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
    • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
    • CPA certification or progress towards CPA qualification is a plus.
