- Financial Record Maintenance:
- Maintain and update financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger entries, and journal entries.
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data by reconciling accounts and transactions regularly.
- Month-End and Year-End Closing:
- Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes by preparing adjusting entries, accruals, and reconciliations.
- Generate financial statements and reports to support management decision-making.
- Accounts Payable and Receivable:
- Process accounts payable transactions, including invoice verification, coding, and payment processing.
- Manage accounts receivable functions, including invoicing, collections, and reconciliations.
- Financial Analysis:
- Analyze financial data and trends to identify variances, discrepancies, and opportunities for improvement.
- Prepare financial reports, forecasts, and budgets to assist in financial planning and decision-making.
- Compliance and Audit Support:
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and company policies.
- Assist in internal and external audits by providing supporting documentation and explanations as needed.
- Expense Management:
- Monitor and track expenses, analyze spending patterns, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Work closely with department heads to review and manage departmental budgets.
- Process Improvement:
- Identify inefficiencies in accounting processes and procedures and propose solutions for improvement.
- Implement best practices to streamline workflows and enhance productivity.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 2+ years of experience in accounting or finance roles.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, NetSuite) and MS Excel.
- Strong understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- CPA certification or progress towards CPA qualification is a plus.
