    Job Title: School Nurse (RN) (Full-time)
    Supervisor: Principal
    Terms of Employment: 10 Months

    Position Summary:
    The role of a school nurse is to help students and staff with health problems that interfere with their ability to take part in the everyday school activities. The School Nurse strengthens and facilitates the educational process by improving and protecting the health status of children.

    Duties and Responsibilities:
    1. Administers prescribed medications and treatments.
    2. Manages the School Clinic to include maintaining equipment and supplies.
    3. Documents and maintains school health records.
    4. Administers hearing and vision screenings
    5. Audits Immunization Records.
    6. Develops Individual Healthcare Plans.
    7. Provides training for school staff on health related issues.
    8. Helps plan and implement Emergency procedures.
    9. Participate in staff meetings, professional learning, serve on staff committees, and attend training sessions as required.
    10. Follow federal and state laws, abides by all Code of Ethics for Educators, as well as School Board policies.
    11. Maintains a pattern of prompt and regular attendance.
    12. Performs other duties as assigned.
    Education/Certification/License Requirements:
    Must be a Georgia Licensed Registered Nurse
    Pediatric Experience Preferred
    CPR Certification
