    The HRPDC is seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to play a pivotal role in planning, organizing, and overseeing all functions of our Finance Department.

    This position encompasses a broad spectrum of responsibilities, including financial planning for capital projects, budgeting, accounting, cash management, investment management, purchasing, project accounting, payroll, contract administration and insurance administration.

    This position requires a seasoned financial professional with demonstrated leadership abilities, strong analytical skills, and a comprehensive understanding of government financial management principles.

    A minimum of 10 years of related, full-time experience with several years of demonstrated supervisory experience is required. Advanced credentials or certifications are desirable (e.g., CPA, CPFO, public administration, leadership).

    Transportation Data Analyst II – Starting Salary $62,000 – $68,000 DOE/DOQ

    The HRTPO is seeking candidates for the position of Transportation Data Analyst.

    As part of our Long-Range Transportation Planning team, the Transportation Data Analyst plays an important role in providing data-driven insights that support a wide range of planning tasks.

    This role requires skills in various aspects of data analytics, including data mining, generation, interpretation, and the development of engaging visualizations to facilitate the transportation planning process.

    Additionally, the Transportation Data Analyst must be comfortable collaborating with diverse stakeholders and conveying information to both technical and non-technical audiences.

    Emergency Management Grants & Project Manager –

    Starting Salary:
    $65,000


    The Hampton Roads Planning District Commission, a regional planning agency, representing the interests of the 1.7 million residents in the 17 localities of Hampton Roads, is seeking an Emergency Management (EM) Grants & Project Manager.

    This position is a grant-funded professional position that will assist in the application, management, and implementation of regional, emergency management, and homeland security grants and projects.

    This includes writing grant applications, completing associated documentation, procurement in alignment with grant allowability and Virginia law, processing reimbursements, and grant closeout.

    Grants vary from financial management to full project management. The position will also provide regionally-oriented emergency management and homeland security planning.

    This position serves as an advocate of emergency management and homeland security initiatives and supports the HRPDC, the Hampton Roads All Hazards Advisory Committee (AHAC), and AHAC subcommittees / workgroups.

    The Hampton Roads Planning District Commission (HRPDC) is seeking a candidate for the position of Senior Regional Planner.

    The Senior Regional Planner performs advanced professional work on a variety of assignments in the areas of comprehensive, strategic, environmental and economic development planning in a regional planning office.

    This position serves as both a team leader and a team member on inter-disciplinary planning projects and will serve as the point person for HRPDC liaison with military organizations in the Hampton Roads region.

    Grants Support Specialist –

    Starting Salary:

    The Hampton Roads Planning District Commission (HRPDC) is seeking a candidate for the position of Grants Support Specialist to perform lead work in managing and supporting the agency's grant process.

    This position will research and evaluate grant funding opportunities, manage grant applications, and support Program & Finance staff with grant writing, grants administration, contract administration, contract management and procurement.

    The Grants Support Specialist will provide technical assistance and provide leadership and guidance for various projects and work teams.

    A key function of the position will be assisting program staff in evaluating the administrative and fiscal burdens associated with various grant opportunities and executing agreements and contracts upon successful grant awards.

    Housing Program Specialist – Starting Salary $48,000 - $56,000 (DOE/DOQ)

    The Hampton Roads Planning District Commission (HRPDC) is seeking a candidate for a full-time Housing Program Specialist.

    The successful applicant must possess strong interpersonal and communication skills and be able to assist the Housing and Human Services staff in processing all administrative activities associated with the Home Investment Partnership Program (HOME) and other related programs.

    Must be able to accurately prepare a variety of reports, spreadsheets, and information for decision-making purposes for awarding grant funding to buyers.

    Bachelor's degree preferred.

    Any combination of education and/or experience equivalent to four (4) years in related field or similar position such as Housing Specialist, Mortgage Processing, Loan Processing, Lending, or Credit Review will be considered in lieu of a Bachelor's degree.
