    This position is responsible for mitigating Operational Risk by completing financial reconcilements of Operational General Ledger and Internal Deposit accounts as well as the reconcilement of Debit and Credit Card settlement transactions. Conduct data integrity reviews in the Deposit and Loans Operations Departments and recommend process improvements in support of Internal Controls.

    Essential Functions:
    1. Conduct daily and monthly reconciliation of key suspense general ledgers
    2. Reconcile a segment of the Bank's internal checking and clearing accounts
    3. Timely resolution of out of balance items identified during reconciliation
    4. Engage and collaborate with various departments to remediate balancing issues and identify solutions
    5. Report the results of the reconciliations, internal controls, and quality control
    6. Report exceptions and issues to management
    7. Recommends procedure/policy changes to reduce risk to the Bank and improve the Operational processes.
    8. Assist the Operations Assurance Manager with analyzing reports to recognize and report fraud trends
    9. Assist the Operations Assurance Manager with annual audit preparations and regulatory examinations
    10. Review of Dormant and Escheat reports
    11. Ensure daily deadlines are met
    12. Ensures the Bank complies with applicable regulations and policies
    13. Cultivate strong working relationships and build trust among team members
    14. Live the Farm Bureau Bank Brand
    15. Perform other related duties and special projects, as assigned
    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
    1. Effective organizational, problem-solving, multitasking skills and independent thinking
    2. Strong understanding of Accounting Principles and General Ledger Entries
    3. Possess a strong sense of urgency. Effectively sets priorities, allocates resources, takes accountability, and achieves results
    4. Demonstrates ability to communicate written and verbal skills
    5. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
    Education and Experience:
    1. Bachelor's degree business or related field preferred
    2. Minimum 2 years working experience in accounting/reconciling
    3. Minimum 2 years working experience in back office (operations)
