Mid Software Engineer


Location:
Remote/Alexandria, VA

Whitespace, Ltd., is seeking a Mid-Level Software Engineer to build innovative forward-looking solutions within our Answers platform.

You'll be essential to our Answers platform digital offering which is broken into a technological stack that is comprised of a data, engine, analytic, and story layer.

The engineering team is the technological backbone of our Answers platform working in the 'engine layer' to measure ground truth.

You'll work with a team of engineers and developers designing tools to provide technical solutions to complex questions. The ideal candidate is creative, a problem solver, developer, designer, and appreciates delivering high-quality products. This position will report to the VP of Engineering.


EXPERIENCE

Develops, research, designs, implements, tests, and evaluates software and systems, in conjunction with hardware product development, that enable computers to perform their applications, applying principles and techniques of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis.

Excludes paraprofessional positions.


Preferred years of experience:
4-7 years of related experience.
SKILLS & ABILITIES

Analyzes software requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints.

Consults with hardware engineers and other engineering staff to evaluate interface between hardware and software and operational and performance requirements of overall system.

Formulates and designs software system, using scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict and measure outcome and consequences of design.

Develops and directs software system testing procedures, programming, and documentation.
Consults with customer concerning maintenance of software system.
May coordinate installation of software system.
