The Central Arkansas Veterans Healthcare System (CAVHS) consists of two inpatient campuses located at Little Rock and North Little Rock and eight Community Based Outpatient Clinics (CBOCS).

Major Duties
Addressing Rheumatology inpatient and outpatient consults.
Electronic chart reviews.
Performing electronic chart reviews and provide e-consultation.
Conducting outpatient clinics as well as serving as attending for fellows clinics.
Responsible for trainee education at CAVHS for Rheumatology fellows and rotating medical residents in the clinics.
Provide didactic education for the trainees.
Participate in Quality improvement projects.
Collaborate with other specialties to provide multi disciplinary treatment to patients.
Serve as collaborating physician for Advanced Practice Providers.
Diagnosis and management of rheumatologic illnesses including but not limited to metabolic diseases of the bone, osteoporosis, polymyositis, rheumatoid arthritis, crystal-induced arthropathies, scleroderma/systemic sclerosis, vasculitis.
Procedures related to the diagnosis and management of rheumatologic diseases including but not limited to the performance and/or interpretation of boing and joint imaging, synovial fluid aspiration, and joint injections.
Clinical services to be provided include staffing outpatient consults, rheumatology outpatient clinics, telehealth/video clinics, and inpatient rheumatology consults.Other duties as assigned.
Work Schedule:
Monday through Friday8:00am to 4:30pm, with some evenings and weekend call.
