Second (Evenings) (United States of America)Sentara Norfolk General Hospital is hiring a Cardiac Technician for the Interventional and Cardiovascular Center
This position is Full Time working 11am- 8pm, Monday through Friday. Every other week is a four-day work week.
Responsibilities:
Cardiac Tech helps aid the RNs throughout the prep of our Cardiac Catheterization, Electrophysiology, and Cardiac OR patients. In our department we prep and recover patients a day. In the pre-op area, the cardiac techs are trained to insert IVs, shave, prep, obtain EKGs, and collect specimens needed to help prepare the patient for their procedure that day. Other opportunities for advancement include Ultrasound IV insertion training and certification and telemetry training if desired.
Education/Certification/Experience
High School Grad or Equivalent
Basic Life Support Certification (BLS)
o Preferred: 1-2 years of patient care experience
o Preferred: EKG Holter Monitor Hook-up Experience
o Preferred: Cardio graphic Tech Certificate (CCT)

Job Summary
