- Monitoring and auditing existing claims adjusted at third party claims administration companies.
- Working with claims adjusters and attorneys to establish appropriate strategies.
- Working with claims adjusters to establish next actions and following up to ensure that the claims process is moving forward in a timely manner.
- Approving reserve increases and providing settlement authority above established authority levels.
- Obtaining and documenting details on claims activity, authority, strategies, legal opinions and large loss reports submitted by adjusters.
- Auditing loss runs and check registers, so that funding can be approved to claims administrators.
- Presenting large losses, large reserve increases and large settlements to senior management for approval.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
- Minimum of 5 years of claims adjusting experience in property and casualty claims.
- Multi-jurisdictional claims experience, coverage evaluation, comparative negligence negotiations and customer service excellence.
- Strong problem-solving ability as well as communication, organizational, negotiation, computer and people management skills.
- Previous experience in auto liability, 1st and 3rd party property damage handling, bodily Injury medical evaluations, and attorney negotiations.
- Experience in general liability and property claims handling is a plus.
