Opportunity:

RN - ER

Job Details:

• Work in Emergency Department with patient ratios of 1:3-4 for both day and night shifts

• Care for patients from pediatrics to geriatrics with mostly geriatric population

• Handle general ED cases including chest pain, abdominal pain, and falls

• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, TNCC

• Preferred certifications: CPI/MOAB, ENPC

• 2 years of ER experience required

• First-time travelers accepted

• Essential skills include PIV starts, blood cultures with proper technique, chest tubes, code blue experience, and triage

• Preferred skills: arterial lines, critical care experience, central line placement, thoracentesis, charge experience

• Pediatric experience required

• Work with EPIC charting system, Alaris pumps, Pyxis medication system

• Experience with Belmont rapid infuser preferred

• Minimum one shift orientation to learn unit flow

• Scrubs: any color acceptable, no denim, camo, or logos

• Free parking available in designated areas

• Support staff includes charge nurse, CNAs, unit secretary, hospitalist 24/7, mid-level providers, respiratory therapist, and phlebotomy services

Facility:

This healthcare facility is a 72-bed hospital serving as a Level III Trauma Center with a Level III NICU and Primary Stroke Center designation. The Emergency Department features 22 beds and provides comprehensive emergency services with 24/7 hospitalist coverage, respiratory therapy, and specialized support services. The facility maintains high standards of care with advanced equipment and technology to support critical patient needs.
