Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced, dedicated and passionate dog Groomer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a love for animals and a commitment to providing exceptional grooming services. As a dog Groomer, you will be responsible for ensuring the health and well-being of dogs while delivering high-quality grooming services that enhance their appearance and comfort.
Responsibilities
- Perform grooming services including bathing, clipping, and styling pets according to breed standards and customer preferences.
- Handle and restrain animals safely during grooming procedures to ensure their comfort and safety.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with pet owners regarding their pets' grooming needs and any observed health concerns.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the grooming area, equipment, and supplies.
- Assist in the care of animals in the facility, including feeding, walking, and monitoring their behavior.
- Keep detailed records of each pet's grooming history and any special requirements or notes for future visits.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure a positive experience for both pets and their owners.
Experience
- At least 2 years experience in dog grooming is required
- Skills in dog training, animal handling, or veterinary assistance are highly desirable.
- Experience with animal restraint techniques and heavy lifting is beneficial.
- Familiarity with various breeds and their specific grooming needs.
- Customer service experience is essential to effectively interact with pet owners and address their concerns.
