    Your Role

    The Trust Assurance Services team drive BSC information security adherence to regulatory standards, as well as policies, standards, and controls with the goal of safeguarding company assets and maintaining confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information. The Sr. Manager, Information Security Technical Business Continuity will report to the Director, IT Controls and Resiliency Assurance. In this role you will implement a robust Business Continuity program focused on resiliency and lead a team of professionals to ensure Blue Shield is able to recover from a business disruption.     Your Work

    In this role, you will:

    • Execute information technology strategies, plans, and priorities for a comprehensive information security program
    • Create relationships within Blue Shield to understand business requirements and work with them to accomplish those requirements within the security framework
    • Manage staff in the planning, design, and support the security technology stack
    • Develop and maintain relationships with managers in business unit teams and the IT teams to drive security plans
    • Manage and escalate roadblocks that may jeopardize security monitoring operations, infrastructure, and SLAs
    • Responsible for delivering technical Business Continuity framework, standards, templates, and tools
    • Develops program status, metrics, and other reporting needs for various management levels
    • Coordinates Business Continuity plan exercises and testing
    • Educate the plan owners and editors on Business Continuity concepts
    • Advises the Incident Command System

    Your Knowledge and Experience

    • Requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
    • Requires at least 10 years prior relevant experience, including 4 years of management experience
    • Required Certified Business Continuity Professional or equivalent
    • Requires hands-on experience with Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery from business perspectives
    • Requires great written and verbal communication skills and ability to present to C-Suite
    • Requires knowledge executing BIAs, RTOs, RPOs and BCMS
    • Desired experience in cybersecurity incidents such as ransomware
