    Job Posting: Caltrans Electrician II

    Department of Transportation



    Job Description and Duties
    • Work under the direction of a Caltrans Electrical Supervisor
    • Responsibilities include installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical and electronic devices
    • Work independently or lead a crew
    • Maintain a valid Class 'C' Driver's License
    • Emergency response required outside of normal work hours

    Working Conditions

    Position(s) located in Lake Elsinore, Riverside County

    • Based at a maintenance facility in a metropolitan area
    • Extensive travel within assigned area
    • Exposed to live electrical circuits, noise, dust, and chemicals
    • Required to work outdoors in extreme temperatures and inclement weather
    • Must wear appropriate safety equipment
    New to State candidates will be hired into the minimum salary of the classification or minimum of alternate range when applicable.

    • A pre-employment drug screening is required
