Job Title: TAR Project Scheduler (Contract Position)

Location: Freeport, TX

Position Type: Long-term Contract (Possibility of Extension or Direct Hire for the Right Candidate)

Pay Rate: $27/hour (Based on Experience) - Benefits Available

Job Description:

Global Manufacturer is seeking a dedicated and experienced TAR Cost Clerk to join our Freeport, TX site team. This position will be critical in providing schedule support for 300 block outages. We want to hear from you if you possess strong analytical skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work independently.

Key Responsibilities:

P6 Schedule Support: Provide P6 schedule support for midsized to large maintenance outages.
Independent Work: Execute outage project's scheduling efforts independently.
Planning Process: Actively participate in the planning process, developing detailed schedules for FEL (Front End Loading), Engineering, Procurement, and Construction phases.
Tracking & Reporting: Track schedule and earned physical progress, identify key milestone changes and delays, and support reporting to management.
Critical Path Analysis: Conduct critical path analysis to meet project timelines.
Issue Identification: Assess projects to identify potential performance issues and recommend solutions.
Report Generation: Generate predefined schedule reports and ad hoc reports as needed.
Process Improvement: Assist in developing and improving scheduling and planning tools, processes, and procedures.
Training: Provide basic training on scheduling to project team members.
Communication Skills: Strong communication, initiative, and collaborative skills.

Worker Schedule:

FEL Phase: 5-10's (five 10-hour days)
Execution Phase (August/September): 7-12's (seven 12-hour days)

Qualifications

High School Diploma - Required | College Degree- Preferred
Professional Experience: At least 8 years of professional experience.
Scheduling/Planning Experience: At least 5 years in scheduling/planning within the chemical, petrochemical, or similar manufacturing/project environment.
Team Collaboration: Ability to work effectively in a diverse team environment.
Technical Knowledge: In-depth understanding of project planning and detailed scheduling work processes for all project aspects, including Engineering, Procurement, and Construction.
Primavera P6: Excellent proficiency in Primavera P6.
Computer Skills: Strong computer skills.
Attention to Detail: Strong quality focus with attention to detail.
Analytical Skills: Strong analytical capabilities.
