The primary focus of the position is to create and foster a safety culture that is both preventative and proactive.
In conjunction with the culture, this position has a compliance component that is equally important is to ensure that JL Clark Rockford/Lancaster facilities comply with all applicable environmental, health and safety regulations.
The position will provide full time Environmental Health and Safety support to the operations and will ensure that all practices are in compliance with federal, state, and local regulatory requirements.
The position will be responsible for coordinating regulatory programs and its permitting applications. Support the development and coordination of training programs in support with JL Clark's philosophy. The EHS will work under the Continuous Improvement Manager. This job is located in the Rockford Facility but will require travel at least 25% of time to the Lancaster Plant.EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health and Safety or related discipline and or at least 5 years of experience in environmental Health and Safety or related field in a manufacturing environment.
NASP (National Association of Safety Professionals) NESHTA (National Environmental Safety & Health Training Association), ASSE (American Society of Safety Engineers), or BCSP (Board of Certified Safety Professionals).
