    Description
    *Staff Accountant

    *Our client is an organization in the Madison area looking for a Staff Accountant on a permanent basis.
    • Our client is looking for someone with related experience, who is detail-oriented, and has strong communication skills. This company offers a family feel environment work with great work-life balance and flexibility. This position offers one day of remote work.
    _The salary range for this position is $55,000-65,000 dependent on experience. _

    The *Staff Accountant* will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

    *RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Accurately create and post general ledger entries in a timely manner.
    • Complete account reconciliations on assigned accounts.
    • Research the General Ledger for errors or omissions as needed.
    • Identify and problem-solve issues that may arise in day-to-day operations.
    • Generate suggestions for improving processes and workflows.
    • Maintain fixed assets.
    • Accurately complete monthly and quarterly vendor program compliance reporting.
    • Communicate effectively with outside vendors.
    • Accumulate and assemble required data and file sales and property tax returns.
    • Assist with cash balances and address any account issues that may arise.
    • Create and publish ad hoc reporting as needed.
    • Ensure adequate level of internal controls over financial reporting.
    • Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes.
    The *Staff Accountant *will possess the following:

    *EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

    • Associates or Bachelor's degree strongly preferred.
    • At least 3+ years of related experience required.
    • Comfortable with Microsoft Excel.
    • Strong attention to detail.
    • Excellent organizational skills.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
