- Project management, preparation of assessment and design reports, performing design calculations, cost estimating, permitting, equipment sizing/selection, and preparation of contract documents.
- Field work and site visits from planning through construction.
- Communicate clearly and concisely both verbally and in technical writing.
- 5 to 8 years of experience in delivering wastewater and biosolids projects for municipal clients
- Must hold an active Florida Professional Engineer license or ability to obtain within one year of employment.
- B.S. degree in environmental or civil engineering with an M.S. preferred. Degree(s) in mechanical or chemical engineering will also be considered.
- Excellent writing, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in all computer software typically used (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
- Candidate must have strong organizational skills.
- ESRI / GIS Experience is a plus
- AutoCAD/Civil 3D experience is a plus.

Job Description
Job DescriptionHazen and Sawyer is seeking a Principal Engineer with 5 to 8 years of experience in the planning, evaluation, design, and management of municipal wastewater treatment and biosolids projects. The position will include both supporting and leading multi-disciplinary teams to effectively deliver wastewater and biosolids facility upgrades and expansions. Experience should encompass all phases of project delivery, including conceptual evaluations, detailed design, construction support, and commissioning assistance.
